mission overview
We bring art making and stop motion animation filmmaking workshops to under-served communities
in their own spaces.
Community Art Makers is a mobile, not for profit organization that brings high-quality
art + technology focused workshops to under-served communities across the United States.
We design innovative workshops which are customized to meet the learning objectives of each
partner and work with students remotely and in-person.
CAM (Community Art Makers) classes range from hands-on
stop motion animation filmmaking instruction, art and storytelling
curriculums, and family programs, to tech-literacy seminars
designed to empower participants of all ages by instilling a
practical, working knowledge of technology.
mobile, pop-up
stop motion studios
We are very proud to have launched our first pop-up stop motion animation studio!
These mobile workshops are designed to bring all of the stop motion animation filmmaking equipment and materials to partners in their own spaces.
This summer, we collaborated with Sanctuary for Families, working with some of their summer camp students aged 6-9 years old. The resulting films are incredible examples of artistic expression and explorative filmmaking. We are proud to support Sanctuary for Families and their services.
